"Getting it done" Challenge August 2013

I love this monthly goal list. It has really helped me stay on track and helps me see what I can accomplish in a month.

Here is how I did in July.
Here is my July list...in order of importance.

1. Work on and finish 2 lap quilts for Hawaii. (  done)

2. Work on LA quilting the new set of community quilts. (6 of them) (one done)

3. LA 3 quilts for P.B. ( customer ) (two done)

4. Work on finishing blue twin community quilt top. (Not done)

5. LA quilt Mom's Winter Memories quilt after practicing on a piece of plain fabric. ( yes to practicing no to completing the actual quilt)

August will be a slow month this year since we will be away a fair amount.

Here is my August list...

1.  Work on embroidery rabbit project and wonky houses.
2. Take a class to make a pillow Hawaiian style.

I will be linking this post with Judy Laquidara's post at Patchwork Times.

Another crazy quilt completed!

This crazy lap quilt is also a gift for my husband's Aunt. It is all done in batiks. You take 9 fat quarters. You stack them on top of each other, make cuts and shuffle the fabric. It is an interesting and simple way to complete a quilt. I took a class at the LQS to learn how to do this method. I used Fluffy Clouds pantograph.

Newest completed quilt

Just completed a lap quilt, pieced and quilted to bring on our trip to Hawaii. It is a thank you gift to a cousin for letting us stay at her condos. It is a design called Morning Tides by Lucy A. Fazely. I don't remember the fabric name. I think it turned out well and I hope she likes it. The pantograph i used is called Plumeria by Patricia E. Ritter available at Urban Elements.
