Last Friday in January - a couple finishes.

I am on a deadline this week. I have a birthday party Saturday which I had to complete the Hawaiian wall hanging I have been working on. I did it. It just needs the label sewn on and the hooks attached.

I also completed one baby quilt for a friend who had a baby boy this week.

I still have to complete a baby quilt for a shower on Sunday. It is on the long arm I have done 2 rows already. Binding is already cut out but not made. No pictures of this one.

Scrappy Challenge January 2014

Here are 3 of the blocks that I am going to add to this final quilt in December.

Somehow I can't get the mauve background to show up from the bottom left corner block. It is such a pretty mauve too.

Friday Finishes

Considering I had reports cards to finish this week I am happy with the finishes in quilting.

✔️ "Boys will be Boys and Monkeys too" quilt is done. It is 50"x50". I did embroidery blocks of monkeys and boys since the fabric had them on there. This is going to a friend's 2 year old since I am making a baby quilt for the new one coming in February.

✔️Made another "Scrappy Challenge" block.

Friday Finishes

I have a couple finishes and some progress. I like documenting my weekly progress to keep me motivated towards my monthly goals.  Well, sometimes adding new projects too. It also gives me a sense of accomplishment.

Completed 2 community quilts on the long arm.

Worked on setting the last 2 embroidery blocks in borders, that I had.

Change my blog's name...

I am thinking of changing my blog's name for 2 reasons. One, someone already has 33 stitches. Two, I have started a LA quilt business and would l like the blog to have a connection to my business. So I am thinking of changing it to Glory Be Quilter. My favourite number is 33 so I will add that to the URL. I will change the name sometime today. It is a new year and a name change right now would be a good start.

Friday Finish in January

January 3, 2014

These are my finishes this week.
I put together a UFO which included embroidery blocks in a quilt top which measures 50x50.

I made 2 blocks of 6 for the Scrappy Challenge I joined over at Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara. Hoping to make my scrap bin smaller.
I don't know why this pic is so big... and the one below is smaller. Taken at the same time.

It was a sweet surprise this morning when I opened the link to find that Richard and Tanya liked my gift bag that I made. Thanks so much for the highlight!
