March Goals and Look back at February 2014

Every month I make a list of projects I would like to get done.  Sometimes I follow it exactly. Sometimes I get sidetracked. Way at the bottom of this post are my March goals but I review February goals with pictures first.  Now let's check out how I did with the list for February:

⭕️ Complete a customer's quilt.
Just starting this quilt since I only received it 5 days ago from my customer.

⭕️ Complete 3 charity quilts.
Completed 3 this month.  This one is a twin quilt.

This one is a baby quilt.

This one is a lap quilt.

⭕️ Complete prayer quilt.
I did complete this one.
⭕️ Complete one of 6 baby quilts. I have completed 3 already.
Yes I quilted it but it needs binding.

⭕️ Complete blocks for Scrappy Challenge.
I completed 3 for this month.

⭕️ Complete blocks for Christmas Quilt-a-long.
I completed half of the house. I still have to complete the other half.

LIST FOR MARCH:

1. Complete customer's queen size quilt on the long arm.
2. Work on a couple prayer quilts for church.
3. Complete Scrappy Challenge Blocks for March.
4. Complete Christmas Quilt-Along for February and March.
5. Start a lap quilt for my Niece's birthday.

This last week in February

I finished the community quilt that was on the long arm, just late Friday.

THE PLAN this week: 3 goals
1. Complete a community baby quilt to practice the Dazzle pantograph that I will be using for a customer quilt.

2. I started to load another community quilt but then I got an order from a customer. She is bringing her queen quilt Sunday for me to long arm. So I took the community quilt off so I could start the customer quilt right away. I don't like to make people wait longer than 2 weeks for their quilt.

3. I also plan on completing the Christmas Quilt-along for the February block. I have completed the top half of the gingerbread house so far.

Third Friday Finish in February

Even though I make a list on Sunday of projects I would like to complete this week I often don't finish them all. Occasionally I complete more than I thought. So I didn't get everything done but I did get the following done:

- 3 blocks done for the Scrappy Challenge by Judy Laquidara at Patchwork Times.

I re-did this one but there still is one mistake.

This one is done correctly.

Embroidery Project...

I have been working on "The Adventures of Harrington and Hannah". It was a block of the month by The Raspberry Rabbits. It was to be done in appliqué and embroidery but I did all in embroidery. I have 5 more to complete. I have misplaced January in Hawaii and need to redo it.   I hope to make this into a quilt someday.

You can find other beautiful samples on the following flickr group:

Friday finish {02/07/2014}

Tough week for me, as I had a sinus infection and then cough.  I didn't feel like doing anything but lay around watching Downton Abbey seasons 1 and 2 and 3! I had never watched any of the shows before and now I am hooked. So I am calling it my Downton Abbey cold!

I did complete 2 things on my Sunday to do list though!!  Here is what I finished...

✔️put binding on the boy animal  baby quilt.

✔️LA quilted girl baby quilt with Luau pantograph.

  • Put binding on animal baby quilt.
  • Possibly start a customer quilt.
  • Work on the last Hawaiian applique block when out and about.
  • Work on February block for Scrappy Challenge at Patchwork Times by Judy Laquidara.
  • Work on February block for Christmas quilt along by Beth at Love Laugh Quilt.
A quilt I completed last year.

I will include more pictures as the week progresses for Linky Tuesday party at Freemotion by the River and WIP Wednesday at The Needle and Thread Network.  Links are on the sidebar.  Please visit these blogs to see some great projects.
